Pain Treatment Acupuncture Techniques have been Proven Effective over Time
The documented history of acupuncture in China goes back to the very beginning of human history here on earth. Pain treatment acupuncture is believed to have been a preferred method of relieving pain and discomfort five thousand years ago and possibly even longer. It is not limited to the Chinese either. The Egyptians and the Hittites, two civilizations that developed in the region around the Mediterranean where life is believed to have begun, both left behind documentation of early acupuncture techniques.
Forms of pain relief acupuncture were used by South African Bantu tribesmen who scratched themselves to heal certain types of wounds, Eskimo tribes who used sharp stones instead of needles, and indigenous natives of Brazil who shot darts into diseased parts of their body for healing. The methods differed but the principles were always the same. Early man recognized the importance of pressure points in the body and modern man has refined the art and found a way to compliment it with new medicine.
Acupuncture has been proven effective over time, a lot of time. For thousands of years those whose responsibility it was to heal their people put faith in pain relief acupuncture and were rewarded with good results. Today it can relax strained muscles, alleviate stress, and relieve short term or chronic pain, sometimes eliminating the need for a pharmaceutical solution.
Pain management acupuncture has also become a popular treatment method for those who suffer from long term or chronic pain. By setting up regular sessions the acupuncturist can help the patient alleviate and control their pain for weeks and months at a time. When done properly, the number of sessions can be limited so as not to inconvenience the patient or create a more stressful situation where they have to change their entire schedule around to accommodate their acupuncture sessions.
In 1550 BC the Egyptians published a work called Papyrus Ebera where they talked about vessels that strongly resembled the twelve meridians of acupuncture. In 200 BC, the first recognized book specifically about acupuncture, the Nei Ching Su Wen, was published in China. If you look at published material on the practice today and compare you’ll see it hasn’t changed much. The science behind it, and it is a science, has been documented for 3500 years. There is plenty of proof that pain relief acupuncture works. It’s been helping people for hundreds of generations.
